Meteor Showers
The year’s meteor showers from the International Meteor Organization’s working list, with their peaks.
The year ahead
Each shower’s next maximum, soonest first.

- Peak night: the night the maximum falls in, in UTC; “approx” where the calendar gives the peak only roughly.
- Active: the shower’s activity window.
- ZHR: the meteors a single observer would count in an hour with the radiant overhead, under a sky of limiting magnitude 6.5. Observed rates are lower: halved with the radiant at 30°, and lower again with moonlight and light pollution. “Variable” where the rate changes from year to year.
- Moon lit: the fraction of the Moon’s disc lit at the maximum.
